Natural Beauty

Natural Beauty abounds in Fermanagh, with many sights a short trip from Lough Erne Golf Resort. Some of the more popular ones include:
  • Marble Arch Caves - An award winning attraction offering guided tours daily. The caves are a fascinating underground world of stalagmites and stalactites. Tours include an underground boat journey.
  • White Island - Here there are remains of a 12th century church with 8 enigmatic figures carved in stone dating back to the 6th century. A ferry departs from Castle Archdale.
  • Devenish Island - Founded in the 6th century by St Molaise and today visitors can view extensive ruins including a 12th century Round Tower, Augustinian Abbey, St Molaise’s House and a graveyard with an unusual mid 15th century carved cross. Accessible by Ferry.
  • Lusty Beg Island - Idyllic 75 acre private island set in the heart of the Fermanagh Lakeland. Perfect for team building, corporate hospitality, away days and activities.
  • Helicopter Tours - Best seen from our Helicopter, the Erne river meanders from ened to end, the watery, forested county Fermanagh. A paradise for birds, wild flowers and fishermen, Lough Erne is a magnificent waterway with the 365 islands, and numerous coves and inlets to explore. Go on the journey of a lifetime on one of our scenic Helicopter tours. Choose from a half hour tour or a deluxe tour around the breath taking scenery of Lower Lough Erne with the option of a picnic lunch or Afternoon tea on the beach.
  • Seaplane Tours - A sample Seaplane tour - Take off and land from Castle Hume Lough. Following the Lower Lough Erne to the village of Kesh on to Lough Derg where part of our Celtic Heritage stands quietly since the Middle Ages as a unique place of peace. Over to Donegal town and along the coast of Killybegs harbour and the largest fishing fleet in Ireland then fly further west to Slieve League and the highest coastal cliffs in Europe. Land at Malin Beg beach near the village of Glencolmcille for a picnic lunch in the open air and then return to Fermanagh over the Blue Stack moountains and back to Lough Erne Golf Resort.
